Light Oak Flooring Stain
When you sand and refinish wood floors they look like raw hardwood again.
Light oak flooring stain. First of all there are so many stain choices. While white wood comes with a lighter natural colour and it is perfect for wood floor staining in light or mid-brown colours red oak has distinctive pinkish undertones which allows staining in brownish and reddish shades. There are some exceptions though.
Left side 80 grit sanded right side 150 gril sanded. This is a rich tan choice but choose a more neutral stain than yellow for floors that are light and bright but not outdated. Red oak and white oak floors absorb stain more uniformly but be aware that there is a difference between the density of earlywood or springwood and latewood of these species.
Light Oak is a Semi-Transparent Exterior Wood Stain Color from our Brown Tan wood stains color family. This stain color is what I would consider a medium tone neither super light nor super dark but still transparent enough to really work well on oak. DuraSeal Stains are by Minwax.
Available in 250ml 500ml 1lt 5lt. For a light weathered look apply the stain and wipe it back off. This post is sponsored by Minwax.
Light OAKING can be applied 3 different ways. Very dark almost black wood stains can completely transform naturally light white oak or beech so that it nearly looks like ebony. Check It Out.
These gorgeous red oak floors were refinished by Sheaves Floors LLC with General Finishes Pro Image Satin Water Based Topcoat. This should cover the natural pink in the red oak wood flooring and provide an even lighter color tone you are wanting. Once a polyurethane finish is put on top of the stain the shine will also cause the floor to appear lighter.
