Zone 0 Bathroom Lights
This zone requires a minimum of IP68.
Zone 0 bathroom lights. Particular lights are suited to particular zones of a bathroom. Zone 1 refers to directly above the bath tub or shower cubicle at a height of up to 225m. Zone 0 is inside the bath or shower itself.
Zone 0 for a shower room is the area inside the shower basin. Any fitting used in this zone must be low voltage max 12v and be rated at least IP67 which is total immersion proof. Zone 2 - The area stretching to 06m outside the bath or shower and above the bath and above the bath or shower if over 225m.
Its also worth noting that most shower lights are rated at IP65 in. This must be rated at IPx7 protection against immersion between 15cm to 1m. Any fitting used in this bathroom zone must be low voltage max 12V and be rated at least IP67 which is total immersion proof.
Zone 0 - Inside the bath or shower. Zone 1 is the area above the bath or shower to a height of 225m from the floor. Each ZONE AREA has an IP rating.
We do not currently have any fittings that are suitable for Zone 0 Zone 1. 06 m from the edge of the bath or shower outside the zones and must be suitable for the location. All installations must comply to the guidelines which are based on a zone area which is similar to the installation of lighting around a swimming pool area.
Zone 1 Applies to the area around the bath or shower up to a height of 225m above the floor. Dust fingers tools etc. Basically if you situate lights inside designated zones in a bathroom the fittings need to have an IP rating explained below.
